WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — Community members gathered at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C., on Saturday to “celebrate the people and machines that power the District.”
The DC Department of Public Works hosted the free ‘Touch Truck’ event, where kids can climb aboard nearly 30 types of vehicles from various D.C. government agencies, including, but not limited to, street sweepers, police cruisers, fire engines and dump trucks.
Thanks to the DC Free Summer Meals Program, children under 18 could also grab a free packed lunch at the event…
