MARRERO, La. — The National Weather Service confirmed that an EF-0 tornado hit Marrero Friday night.
With winds estimated at 80 mph, it caused damage to a few roofs and sheds. The NWS said it touched down on the southeast side of Belle Terre Playground around 8:20 p.m. and swept across the area for about two minutes, ending at 8:22 p.m.
