Overnight Closures on US 85 and US 34 in Greeley for Signage Installation Starting May 5

Drivers planning nighttime travel through Greeley might need to rethink their routes starting next week. The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will implement full closures of US 85 and US 34 during overnight hours to install new overhead signage, an essential move for road safety and driver information. The closures are scheduled from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday through Thursday, over the next two weeks, beginning on May 5, according to CDOT.

Specifically, on May 5, May 14, and May 19, northbound US 85 and the eastbound US 34 ramp toward Cheyenne and Fort Morgan will be closed. Detours will guide drivers via 31st Street, 11th Avenue, and back onto US 34 eastbound. Similar disruptions and detours are on the calendar for May 6, May 13, and May 15, including the closure of eastbound US 34 and the northbound US 85 Business ramp toward 8th Avenue.
