( PINPOINT WEATHER ) — Good Sunday morning! We have a cool start to your Sunday, with some lingering clouds and occasional drizzle. Temperatures are in the 50s to start the day.

Expect a seasonable afternoon ahead, with temperatures in the mid-70s this afternoon under clearing skies later today. After the stormy start on Saturday, we’re tracking a nice close to the weekend. There will be a few isolated storms through the early afternoon, especially southeast of Charlotte, along with a few mountain showers.

Severe storms are unlikely today, the best chance of severe weather will be east of the Queen City News viewing area towards Raleigh. Even there, it will be a very isolated threat.

Temperatures will fall into the cool 50s again tonight, leading to a cooler start as you head out the door on Monday. Expect another seasonable afternoon on Monday, with highs in the mid-70s under mostly sunny skies. A few showers are possible for the mountains Monday afternoon, and a few of those showers may track towards the I-40 corridor through the afternoon and evening on Monday…
