Man arrested after hours-long standoff on SR 503 near Amboy

CLARK COUNTY Wash. (KPTV) – A man was arrested after an hours-long standoff on State Route 503 on Saturday, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Police say the incident started as a hit-and-run shortly before 2 p.m. at mile post 14 on the highway. The suspect had reportedly been waving a gun at people at the scene of the crash.

He then barricaded himself in his car off of Northeast 419th Street near Amboy, and officers suspected he still had the gun, prompting a large police presence…
