MEIGS COUNTY, Tenn. — The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency confirmed a boating fatality in Chickamauga on Sunday.
The agency said it responded with other authorities to a call just after 4 p.m., where 21-year-old Austin Sigh had gotten into the water to help in loading “an older, 16-foot cabin cruiser onto a trailer when he succumbed to environmental factors.”
His body was recovered in less than 10 feet of water and was sent to the Meigs County Coroner’s Office. According to the agency, this marks the fifth fatality in 2025…
