Jody Mendoza and Richy Peña, the wife-and-husband duo behind Farming is Life , have not stopped working to tackle the lack of access to quality food in Winchendon. The couple have opened The Farm Stand, their first all-organic and locally sourced grocery store, at 244 School St. The store is open every day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The store has fresh produce, grains and oats, dairy and eggs, canned and pickled goods, and a wine and beer section. Everything is either organic, locally sourced or both, according to Mendoza.
