ST. LOUIS (KMOV/Gray News) – A Missouri man is facing two counts of murder and other felony charges in what police affidavits call the “heinous” death of a pregnant woman.
Prosecutors charged 28-year-old Vanier J. Jones with two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of armed criminal action Friday. The charges stem from the April 23 deaths of 35-year-old Christina Lynn Rentchler and her unborn child in the Fairground Park neighborhood of St. Louis, KMOV reports.
Jones also faces a count of first-degree assault and a count of armed criminal action for shooting another victim who lived.
