VAN BUREN COUNTY, MI — Gobles Public Schools is breaking ground this month on a $27 million project to renovate the district’s elementary school and combined middle/high school.
Instead of expanding the physical footprint of the school, a section of the school will be torn down and a second level will be added. The section of the school coming down is more than 70 years old, said Jim Wiseley, Superintendent of Gobles Public Schools.
The renovations will be funded by a $27 million bond passed by voters in November 2023. Construction is expected to complete in fall 2026…
