Commercial building in Carencro that sat empty for a decade has been sold. Here’s what the owner has planned.

A large commercial building in the middle of Carencro that has sat empty for years has been sold and will converted into a hardware store.

The building at 501 N. Church St. in Carencro, which last housed Boomer Comfort’s Furniture until it closed nearly 10 years ago, was sold to Church Point business owner William Hardwick, land records show.
