COLONIE, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — A new brewery is opening up in Colonie. Jonathan and April Golon are set to open Broken Loop Brewing Co. in the former Yonder Farms space at 4301 Albany Street.

In 2022, Jonathan Golon won Active Ingredient Brewing Company’s homebrew competition and was able to work with the Active ingredient owners to produce his winning beer, Golden Joule. He also brewed their New York State Gold Medal winning Delta Ph.
Broken Loop Brewing Co. will be brewing different styles of beer and cider on-site. The Golons said they’ll also be serving New York State wine and liquor. As for food, they said the plans aren’t finalized yet but they’re in talks with a local business.

“Yonder Farms has been a staple in Colonie and we can’t wait to breathe new life into it,” said the Golons. “It has great bones and a great outdoor space. It does need pretty extensive renovations, which have already begun.”
