CINCINNATI (WKRC) — Cydney Cory is urgently seeking a living kidney donor after a sudden health change revealed her kidneys are failing. Cory, who is asymptomatic, said she initially visited the doctor for unrelated medical tests, only to discover she has a genetic kidney disease, making her the first in her family to be diagnosed with the condition.
Cory is hoping to avoid the need for dialysis, a treatment that filters the kidneys to maintain her health, by finding a living donor for a transplant. She is reaching out to the community for help, asking those willing to be tested for compatibility to consider donating.
