OPELIKA, Ala. (WTVM) – Across the nation, the need for blood is at an all-time high.
Since COVID-19, blood donation levels have plummeted and blood centers are struggling to supply area hospitals. In Alabama, hospitals are warning that the lack of blood is detrimental to patient care.
