Unique self-serve ramen shop opens in San Diego’s Convoy District

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A new ramen restaurant recently opened in San Diego’s Convoy District, and in a unique twist, customers can customize and cook their own meals.

The new eatery, called Ramen Station, opened on May 1 in the Mercury Village Shopping Center plaza at 8068 Clairemont Mesa Blvd. in Kearny Mesa.

According to John Tran, one of the owners, it is an expansion of their other business, Matcha Cafe Maiko. The cafe shares the space with Ramen Station, after a wall separating the two businesses was partially opened up during a recent renovation.
