Driver dies after running into traffic on I-495 to escape police in Prince George’s County, police say

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Prince George’s County police are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash after a driver abandoned their car and ran from an officer, police said.

Early Monday, around 2:45 a.m., an officer attempted to complete a traffic stop on a car for a traffic violation on Interstate 495 North and Annapolis Road.

The driver failed to stop, and the officer halted the traffic stop.
