3 families displaced and apartment units damaged after fire near Osborne Avenue

Tampa Fire Rescue (TFR) says six apartment units suffered damage from fire, smoke, and water following a fire on the 3900 block of W. Osborne Avenue.

According to TFR, firefighters responded to a mechanic shop and scrap yard facility fire at around 6:18 p.m. Tuesday. This is following the heavy smoke reported by many people who called 911.

The first crews who arrived saw a large covered exterior section of the scrap yard heavily involved in fire. Flames began spreading quickly to the six-unit apartment building next to the property…
