Man killed by police after hitting officer with car at Walmart identified by New Orleans coroner

A man who was shot and killed by a police officer after he ran her over with a car at a Walmart Supercenter in the Lower Garden District last week was identified by the Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office Monday as 42-year-old Gregory Williams.

Williams was found in a vehicle in the 1900 block of Tchoupitoulas Street just before 11 a.m. Friday, according to the New Orleans Police Department. He appeared to be overdosing, and an officer, later identified as Raychel Willey, administered Narcan.
