Albuquerque Police, New Mexicans to Prevent Gun Violence to host gun buyback event

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department and New Mexicans to Prevent Gun Violence are hosting a gun buyback event this month, and people who choose to participate could get up to $250 depending on the gun they turn in.

This will be our third safe surrender gun buyback event with this local organization and we’ve heard nothing but good feedback from our community,” said APD Chief of Police Harold Medina in a news release. “We will continue to provide a safe outlet for people in our community to get rid of unwanted firearms that could have potentially gotten into the wrong hands.”
