Vintage-Styled Ice Cream Shop Takes Over Former Starbucks Spot in Old Town Fort Collins

A little ice cream car that hasn’t been around a long time has found so much success, that they opened a brick-and-motor location in April of 2025. Right at the corner of Walnut and College, you’d be hard-pressed to ask for a better spot.

“Starbucks was at the bottom of the Northern Hotel for over 20 years, 2002-2024.” It’s fitting that an ice cream shop that has “vintage” vibes would open at the bottom of the historic Northern Hotel in Old Town Fort Collins. The Northern Hotel dates back to 1889 when it was the Commercial Hotel; it began being known as the Northern Hotel in 1905.

It is really hard to believe that an ice cream cart operation that only began in 2024, now has an actual ice cream “parlor” at a prime location. That speaks to their hard work and great product, without question.
