Search and rescue teams aided an older adult female hiker May 4 at Silver Falls State Park who sustained a fall and had a minor head injury.
The hiker, who was not named, fell near an embankment off the Canyon Trail near Double Falls at around 1 p.m., according to parks officials and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
Rangers with the popular state park east of Salem worked with MCSO and Drakes Crossing Fire Department “to get the person out of the ravine.”…
