PHOENIX (AZFamily) — On Sunday, May 4, members of the San Carlos Apache Tribe started their 80-mile sacred run to protest a mining operation from being built on sacred grounds.
The sacred run started in Oak Flat, and members will end in downtown Phoenix ahead of a federal court hearing that could help save their holy grounds.
