ALBANY — A man pleaded guilty to weapons charges last month in connection to a 2021 shootout that killed a man and wounded six others outside an after-hours nightclub on North Lake Avenue.
Collin Billingsley, 32, admitted to wielding a loaded handgun during the Oct. 9 mass shooting which investigators believe stemmed from a feud between rival biker gangs. Police arrested 10 people for weapons charges inside the club at 117 N. Lake Ave. on the night of the shooting. Arrest reports from the initial investigation said the club was a hangout for a local motorcycle club known as “Suicide Squad.”
So far, Billingsley is the only person to have accepted a plea in connection to the shooting. A spokesperson for the Albany County District Attorney’s Office said the investigation into the case remains ongoing…
