EATON, Ohio ( WDTN ) — Norfolk Southern has begun updating some of its railways throughout Preble County, which will cause road closures throughout the month of May.
As several tracks in Eaton and throughout Preble County receive updates and maintenance, drivers can expect road closures. Railroad officials say several rails are being replaced at road crossings specifically, causing the temporary closures.

Although Norfolk Southern said the work will begin “later” in May, crews have already been spotted tearing up portions of tracks and preparing the rails for updates. Drivers can also expect to see signs near crossings to announce the upcoming closures.
