SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — Boxing has often been referred to as a ‘sweet science.’ And in page one of his new book, Jim Lampley expands that concept beyond measure.
“It is an intricate chess match of feints and slips,” Lampley writes. “A war of footwork and positioning. At its highest level it is a violent ballet—technique and craft and the transfer of energy from a back foot through a fist, ultimately landing like thunder on an opponent’s chin.”
