Voters wary of Silver Creek school tax hike

SELLERSBURG, Ind. (WAVE) – Some Clark County voters went to the polls Tuesday to decide the fate of a property tax hike requested by Silver Creek School Corporation. Affected voters were asked to approve a 44% increase in property taxes to raise $62.8 million for capital improvements.

Voters at multiple polling places told WAVE News they were voting with their pocketbooks. Poll workers at multiple locations describe the pace as steady.
