‘Put the guns down’: Louisville family mourns loved one dead in Derby Day shooting

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A west Louisville family is speaking out about gun violence in their community after confirming their beloved 28-year-old Martez McAtee was one of two victims who died in a shooting on Derby Day.

The cousin of Martez, Charra Malone, gathered family and friends to host a vigil to remember him at the same spot as the crime scene.
