To Clay Tull, art is about breaking barriers, and seeking out unknown universes. Tull invites the viewer to travel with him, and find something of themselves in each work. This is why he often leaves his work untitled.
A resident of Southbridge, Tull has been on his own journey. As a person with disabilities, Tull, a husband, father and grandfather, both supports and receives support for his art from his family as he builds his arts career. He says one challenge is upending prejudices or assumption about people with disabilities, using his art as a touchstone to change perceptions.
Tull’s work will be included in ArtsWorcester’s 13th annual “One: A Members’ Exhibition,” on view from July 24 to Aug. 24 at ArtsWorcester main galleries…
