AUSTIN, Texas — Yelp has released its list of the top barbecue cities in the U.S., and Austin has smoked the competition to claim the No. 1 spot.
Ahead of National Barbecue Day on May 16, Yelp announced its 2025 rankings of the best barbecue destinations, based on user-generated data including consumer interest, average business ratings, and the number of BBQ establishments. Austin was ranked first, praised for its expertly smoked brisket, signature rubs, and packed lines at restaurants like Franklin Barbecue and La Barbecue.
