Nebraska basketball head coach Fred Hoiberg has been working hard to quickly and competently rebuild his roster for what might be a make or break season starting this winter. With the commitment of Fridrik Leo Curtis on Wednesday morning, it looks as though the Cornhuskers coach might be done.
Curtis announced his commitment on social media, finishing off a recruiting run where the Huskers were pushing pretty hard. His commitment also gives NU a pretty international flavor heading into the 2025-26 season.

Curtis, a 7-foot-1 center from Iceland who attends Cambridge Arts, Technology and Science Academy in Braintree, Massachusetts, gives the Nebraska basketball team depth on the interior and a boost in the youth on a roster built through the portal.

Because Curtis is a 2025 commit, he will be eligible to play immediately and joins Quentin Rhymes as the only freshmen on a roster that has added six players from the transfer portal this spring…
