New $10 million project starting on part of Route 146 in Clifton Park

The New York State Department of Transportation is announcing the start of a nearly $10 million project, aimed at making Route 146 in Clifton Park safer. It focuses specifically on one stretch of that road: the intersection with Tallow Wood Drive, and Old Route 146.

Besides resurfacing the roadway, the project will install upgraded traffic signals with video detection equipment.

An additional through-travel lane will also be added on Route 146 east from Route 9 to Old Route 146…
