Alligator captured in Irongate subdivision safely relocated to Ashley River: Officials

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCIV) — A 300-pound alligator was discovered wandering through the Irongate subdivision this week in Summerville, according to the Dorchester County Government.

The unexpected visitor prompted a response involving the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, the Summerville Police Department, and Senior Community Enforcement Officer Christopher Garbaciak, along with the Animal Control team.
