AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — De Zavala Middle School student Shay Patel donated to the school’s sensory room, showing that leadership and generosity comes in different forms.
Shay has Cerebral Palsy and during the month of March he wanted to have t-shirts printed and sold to raise awareness and inclusivity about cerebral palsy. Initially the Patel family thought that 20 shirts would be sufficient but after posting about it on social media 175 shirts were ordered.
Shay shared he is grateful for the communities support and that he loves being in the sidekick program at school…
