May Day Protest held in Dripping Springs

Citizens of Dripping Springs joined together at the intersection of US 290 and Ranch Road 12 on Thursday, May 1, and held up signs in protest on May Day, which, according to Britannica, commemorates the historic struggles and gains made by workers and the labor movement. “We are marching for our democracy. We are fighting for the continuation of the freedoms and civil rights that we have earned — hard fought — over the last 50-something years: women’s rights, gay rights, Black and brown people’s rights, immigrant rights and the non-corruption of our justice system,” said organizer Susan Cook.
