Local nonprofit helps over 50,000 girls facing period poverty in Tulsa County

TULSA, Okla. — A local nonprofit is helping more than 55,000 girls across Tulsa County by providing period supplies at school.

One in every four girls in the United States miss school due to not having the necessary period products. The Tulsa Period Pantry said they want schools, programs, and young girls to know they don’t have to suffer because there are resources available.
