ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — The Storm Prediction Center issued a rare outlook including a hatched area for hail for much of western North Carolina on Thursday.
The hatched area is depicted by the black lines and identifies the area that could receive hail up to 2 inches in diameter or larger.
Damaging wind is also possible for western North Carolina, Upstate South Carolina, and northeast Georgia in the elevated and low-risk areas on Thursday.
