Prince William County police announce new assistant chief

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. ( DC News Now ) — On Wednesday, the Prince William County Police Department (PWCPD) announced that Cpt. Jaime Pavol was appointed to assistant chief and granted the rank of Major.

This comes after the previous chief, Maj. Kevin Hughart, retired.

PWCPD said that Pavol has served the county for over 22 years. She started as a patrol officer with PWCPD in 2003 and was promoted to the first-line supervisor ranks in 2010.
