A bicyclist lost their life in a collision with a vehicle in Murfreesboro on Sunday, in a tragic incident that unfolded just before the night claimed its dark dominion. The Murfreesboro Police Department (MPD), which is rigorously piecing together the sequence of events, reported that the crash occurred on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard near Carver Avenue, according to WSMV.
The victim was attempting to cross the roadway around 10 p.m. when they entered the path of an eastbound blue Nissan Rogue. The driver of the SUV, whose identity has not been disclosed, might have been unable to prevent the fateful encounter, despite the late hour, typically a time of diminished traffic and, it is assumed, heightened vigilance.
