A homeless woman was arrested for trespassing after her unwanted return to the Candlelight Motel in Leesburg.
An officer responded to the motel, located at 1306 S. 14th St., regarding a disturbance around 10:21 p.m. Friday, May 2, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. Upon arrival, he spotted 54-year-old Theresa Ann Walton sitting on the ground of the common area with her property scattered all around her.
Walton advised that she was staying at the hotel with an unidentified man that “invited” her there. The officer spoke with the complainant who stated she was yelling and screaming, causing a disturbance in the common area. Her actions made him feel unsafe, the report said.
Dispatch then advised that Walton had been previously trespassed from the motel on June 9, 2024. Prior to being arrested, she walked across the street to an abandoned business at 1317 S. 14th St., where the officer followed, the report said…
