Shoplifting duo makes a splash in canal escape after alleged Walmart heist

JUPITER, Fla. (CBS12) — In an attempt to evade capture, a duo made a splash—literally—by jumping into a canal after allegedly shoplifting over $2,000 worth of merchandise from a Walmart in Jupiter.

The Jupiter Police Department (JPD) said that on Tuesday, officers responded to a shoplifting in progress at a Walmart located on Indiantown Road at 5:07 p.m.
