ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (BLOOM) — One of St. Pete’s most beloved seafood spots is staging a comeback. After a brief hiatus, Oyster Bar will reopen this May at a new location: 2245 Central Avenue, right in the center of the Grand Central District.
Once a staple on the 200 block of downtown, Oyster Bar is getting a fresh start in a space formerly occupied by Zoey’s. Longtime owner Josh Cameron is keeping the soul of the restaurant intact while introducing some exciting upgrades, starting with a 3,000-square-foot layout that triples the size of the old location.
The reimagined space will feature three distinct areas: a cozy raw bar fashioned from the venue’s former DJ booth and stage, a main dining room with booth and table seating for family-style service, and a spacious bar flanked by eye-catching liquor and wine cages.
