LAFAYETTE, La. ( KLFY ) — As storms passed through Acadiana Wednesday, Lafayette police say they were prepared in case the rainfall caused flooding. Lafayette police participated in emergency preparedness discussions with Lafayette’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness .
Fortunately, Lafayette was spared from massive flooding.
“Based on last week’s rain episode that happened around the festival, where we just had that downpour of rain out of nowhere, we wanted to make sure that did not happen again. So, we started meeting with LCG,” Sergeant Robin Green explained…
