NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – A few locations along the coast had heavy storms pushing through, but most of the area started out Thursday with lots of sun and dry conditions. The big storms stay off shore for most of the day. We will see more rounds of rain starting later tonight into the day on Friday. Friday has the potential to be very stormy at times with some areas seeing an additional three to five inches of rain on top of the soaking from yesterday. Flooding could once again be an issue so we will need to stay alert. The slow moving upper low will keep winds across the area moving west to east which could lead to training storms.
