If you’re a true Buffalonian, then you know we are pretty particular about our pizza around here. There is a pizza spot on just about every corner and while most can be classified as “Buffalo-style,” everyone still seems to have a favorite spot in town.
So, when an article comes out about the best cities for pizza in the U.S., you bet we’re checking it out to see where Buffalo falls among the others.
Clever Real Estate recently conducted a pizza study which evaluated 100 of America’s largest cities on factors including:
- The number of pizza restaurants per capita.
- The average price of large cheese and pepperoni pizzas on thousands of pizzeria menus (and how they compare to local incomes).
- Clever’s Pizza Passion Score, which reflects Google searches related to pizza in various markets.
- A city’s perceived pizza quality, as measured by a poll of 2,000 Americans.
Based on this criteria, Buffalo ended up tying with Detroit for 4th place on the list with both cities averaging a 97.4 score on the scale…
