Brooklyn Woman Charged in Series of Thefts from Men in Miami Beach Nightlife Scene

A New York woman has been charged with a series of thefts in Miami Beach, allegedly preying on men she met during nights out. Brittney Scott, 28, from Brooklyn, is facing multiple felony charges, including burglary with assault or battery and grand theft, for incidents in 2023 and 2024 that involved stealing thousands of dollars’ worth of jewelry and credit cards from victims she encountered in nightlife settings, WSVN reports.

In one incident, after inviting Scott back to his Miami Beach apartment, the victim claimed to have passed out and awoke to find his valuables missing, including a $14,000 Rolex. A photo he had taken with Scott and subsequent facial recognition efforts led to her identification. Another victim experienced a similar fate after a night out with Scott at the Saxony bar in South Beach on Oct. 20, 2024. He suffered a head injury and later realized his valuables, including a Rolex and credit cards, had vanished, according to NBC Miami.

Miami Police have flagged Scott as the suspect in at least three thefts. During the arrest and subsequent interview, Scott reportedly claimed she did not recall a incidents. CBS News Miami detailed one case where surveillance footage and credit card transactions at Sawgrass Mills Mall linked her to the crimes.
