May 8, 2025 – An 18-year-old Antioch High School student was arrested this morning after a stolen, loaded handgun was found in his bookbag as he went through the Evolv detection system upon arrival into the building.
The student, Kenneth-Michael Ivory, told officers he brings the gun to his after-school job for protection and forgot to remove it from his backpack this morning. He is charged with bringing a weapon on school property and will additionally be charged with theft of a firearm after further investigation revealed the Glock pistol was stolen from a vehicle last year on Garrison Street.
