The latest development to come to the city’s south side, Orange-Meridian Park, broke ground May 8, becoming across-the-street neighbors with the still-under-construction Southside Transit Center, marking a social hub for the area.
Huddling under a tent to beat the heat and humidity, staff from Blueprint, Leon County, the city of Tallahassee and the county schools district joined together on a random dirt lot off of Orange Ave, just before Meridian Street where the park will soon stand – hence the name Orange-Meridian.
