Hundreds still without power on West Bank following thunderstorms in New Orleans area

Roughly 700 Entergy customers on the West Bank were still without power late Thursday afternoon after thunderstorms flooded roads in New Orleans and brought down powerlines and trees in Jefferson Parish on Wednesday morning.

Though Entergy initially expected power to be restored late Wednesday, spokesperson Brandon Scardigli said power was expected to be restored for everyone by 6 p.m. Thursday.

“Crews are actively working as quickly and safely as possible to restore power from yesterday’s severe storms,” Scardigli said…
