GREENSBORO, N.C. (WXII/CNN/CNN Newsource/WKRC) — A man was killed and his fiancée was critically injured after they were struck by a vehicle while changing a flat tire.
Christopher Hammonds, a man known for his humor and joyful spirit, was tragically killed on May 2 while attempting to change a flat tire on U.S. 29.
His sister, Connie Anderson, recounted her last conversation with him, telling WXII’s reporters, “I’ll call you when I get up, I’ll be ready rock and roll. That’s how he was because if he done something he’d do it to the fullest. Before we could get his wakeup call for work we were getting this tragic call.”…
