Peru Amateur Circus
At the Circus Arena in Peru, every evening, nearly 200 students are preparing for the legendary Peru Amateur Circus. The Circus has 10 performances in July featuring tiny tumblers and teen tight rope performers. Generations have enjoyed the show, and, in some cases, the fourth generation of Miami County families will be performing.
This year’s shows are dedicated to former Miami County judge and Ringmaster Bruce Embrey. For decades, Bruce WAS the face of the Peru Circus. As Ringmaster, he welcomed thousands of fans to the Circus Arena. He was more than just the voice that directed the shows – he used the circus to teach young people values like trust, integrity and teamwork and changed so many young lives. His memory will be honored as part of the circus performances.
Indiana Canine Assistant Network (ICAN)
A new class of ICAN service dogs graduated recently in a commencement service at Zionsville Town Hall. Dogs are partnered up with individuals with disabilities to help them navigate life and be a constant companion. In this class, there was also a facility dog that will help school children who need some comfort in difficult situations…
