LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Lansing police shut down MLK Jr. Blvd. near the scene of a recent deadly crash involving street racing Friday morning to investigate a moped crash with an SUV. However, police tell 6 News this crash had nothing to do with street racing.
A 6 News crew on the scene Friday morning can see an SUV with a wrecked moped under the front of the vehicle.
Lansing police have confirmed the moped was being driven on MLK when the crash happened. Police were not specific about what they think led to the crash at this time.
Police said the moped rider was not wearing a helmet. Police confirmed that the driver of the moped and the driver of the SUV were taken to the hospital. The male driver of the moped is in critical condition…
